About BTF

The Binaytara Foundation (BTF) is a 501(c)3  non-profit established in 2007 by co-founders Dr. Binay Shah and Tara Shah, with the goal of promoting health and education in resource poor communities. We strive to innovate, education, and advocate to improve healthcare.

Our projects include:

The Northwest Cancer Climb – A fundraiser for BTF projects which occurs annually. We hike different trails in Whatcom and Skagit County Washington. Register for the March 2018 hike here.

The International Conference on Advances in Hematology and Oncology (ICAHO) – A hematology/oncology conference designed to update healthcare providers in the Pacific Northwest of the latest updates and research in the field.

The Northwest Cancer Summit –  Educational seminars organized by the foundation for cancer patients and advocates in Whatcom and Skagit Counties in Washington.

India Hospice and Palliative Care Program – A program in partnership with the Indian Government to establish home hospice centers throughout Madhya Pradesh, India.

Hospice Partnership for Nepal – A program which local (Nepal) physicians can apply for support from the Binaytara Foundation in order to start and maintain hospice and palliative care programs throughout heavily populated areas in Nepal.
